Dr. Ford earned his Doctor of Medicine degree as well as his post graduate training in Plastic Surgery at the University of Western Ontario. He was selected to complete subspecialty fellowship training with pioneering endoscopic surgeon Dr. Oscar Ramirez in Baltimore, Maryland and with Paces Plastic Surgery in Atlanta, Georgia. The latter being a group with an established reputation as leaders in cosmetic facial and eyelid surgery. This experience has allowed Dr. Ford to attain predictable and natural results when performing blepharoplasty surgery. He often accepts referrals from other plastic surgeons to assess patients prior to difficult eyelid surgery or to correct complications arising from prior cosmetic eyelid and facial surgery. Dr. Ford has authored and co-authored multiple peer reviewed plastic surgery journal articles and textbook chapters. The publication topics include cosmetic surgery of the face, eyelids and breast. He has also lectured and presented to Plastic Surgery colleagues nationally and internationally. Dr. Ford also has the privilege of teaching cosmetic surgery to plastic surgery residents through the University of Toronto resident aesthetic surgery resident teaching program. Although cosmetic surgery is performed at our state of the art private surgical facility, Dr. Ford has full hospital privileges and is also the Chief of the Division of Plastic Surgery at Lakeridge Health Corporation. The practice prides itself for making patients feel comfortable and informed in their decision to have cosmetic surgery.
