Dr. Pugash obtained his bachelor of arts degree at Harvard College in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He went on to complete his medical studies at Mcgill University in Montreal, obtaining his MD degree in 1979. Dr. Pugash did a five-year residency in plastic surgery at Mcgill, and became a fellow in plastic surgery of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in 1984. Vancouver plastic surgeon, Dr. Pugash went on to complete two years of additional training in plastic and cosmetic surgery in 1985 and 1986 in Paris, France. He returned to Canada and the lower mainland of British Columbia in 1987 to open his practice. He has been an examiner in plastic surgery for the Royal College, and is a member of the Canadian and American Societies of Plastic Surgeons, the Canadian Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons, the Northwest Society of Plastic Surgeons, and the French Society of Plastic Surgery. He is on the medical staffs of the Royal Columbian, Eagle Ridge, Surrey, and Peace Arch hospitals. He practices extensively at the False Creek Surgery Centre in Vancouver and the Parklane Surgery Centre in Surrey. Dr. Pugash believes in the importance of thorough communication during the preoperative consultation to determine patient goals and priorities. He presents options and demonstrates these with before and after photographs to help patients make the best choices. He is devoted to the principles of meticulous surgery and attentive postoperative care to achieve superior results. Dr. Pugash strives to achieve results that correspond to patient goals, that are natural looking and difficult to detect, and that contribute to a fuller enjoyment of life.
