The Markham Institute of Cosmetic Plastic Surgery is a private, fully accredited cosmetic plastic surgery facility. The surgery centre offers a fully certified operating room and patients are able to recover in private overnight rooms with individual nursing care.
Dr. John Kao is a graduate of the University of British Columbia's Faculty of Medicine with an Honours degree in Physiology. He completed one year of surgical internship at the Wellesley Hospital at the University of Toronto. Following this, he spent 5 years of speciality training in Plastic Surgery at the University of Toronto. Dr. Kao has been practicing in his Markham clinic since 1998.
In addition, since 1998 Dr Kao has full-time privileges at Markham Stouffville Hospital as a Consultant Plastic Surgeon, as well as active privileges at York Central Hospital, and Southlake Hospital.
He is an active member of the Canadian Society of Plastic Surgeons, and the Canadian Society of Aesthetic (Cosmetic) Plastic Surgery. He has attended many courses and seminars in order to keep up to date on the latest and best technology and skills required for excellent results on his patients.
