Tattoo Removal in Canada

  The most effective way to remove a tattoo is with a laser. A laser can be used to fade/remove professional and amateur tattoos. Most colours can be removed, although it is said that yellow, green and white inks are difficult to remove.

  During the treatment a laser is scanned over the tattoo, and rapid 'zaps' of light enter the pigment breaking up the colour, which is then absorbed by the skin and excreted by normal bodily functions. The treatment can be painful (more painful than when getting the tattoo!) but it is possible to have a anesthetic injected or applied to the skin before the treatment.   Tattoo removal, like many non-surgical procedures, does not have to be performed by a plastic surgeon, but care should be taken when choosing a clinic. Some clinics have estheticians with no medical training at all performing tattoo removal so it is important you carefully choose who to perform your treatment as a laser is a powerful tool that can cause damage in unexperienced hands.
